Sociologist, boredom researcher, former ballroom dancer

Assistant professor at the Institute of Sociology, Collegium Civitas, Warsaw, Poland.

Editor in-chief of the Journal of Boredom Studies.

Secretary of the International Society of Boredom Studies.

The founder and organizer of the International Interdisciplinary Boredom Conference held in Warsaw between 2014-2017 (3 editions). Co-organizer of the 4th (2021) and 5th (2023) editions (with Josefa Ros Velasco).

A qualitative sociologist graduated from the University of Warsaw, interested in boredom, sociology of emotions, work, higher education, and creative occupations (ballroom dancers).

In 2019 he defended his PhD thesis titled: „On the Social Significance of Boredom. The Phenomenon of Boredom in the University Milieu” (University of Warsaw).

Scientific editor of the thematic issues on boredom: (1) Stan Rzeczy (11(2)/2016); (2) Maska (36(2)/2018).

Vice-editor-in-chief of Zoon Politikon journal since 2019.

Between 2015 and 2019, the coordinator of the Festival of Science at the Institute of Sociology, University of Warsaw (editions XIX, XX, XXI, XXII, XXIII)
